Home is where your rump rests

So here are some pictures of my house and the area I'm living in, St. Kilda East. It is a fairly predominant jewish community descended from Polish and Russian Immigrants and one of the many suburbs that makes up Melbourne. The city is fairly interesting as the city of Melbourne is actually quite small. The area that is considered Melbourne is made up of many independent buroughs, each with their own council.

In the pictures you can see my garage room, my roomates and get a general idea of the house I'm living in. It's pretty much like The Real World. Just without all the cool stuff everywhere. There is a picture of my roomates. Scott, Lou, Phil and Rosalyn. Scott's from England and the rest from Ireland. The other roomates weren't around for the photo but include a girl from England, Switzerland and New Zealand.

We have another roomate. A mouse that likes to hang out in the kitchen. The girls freak out when he shows up but I just think of him as Little Chef from Ratatouille.

The beach nearby is home to a colony of small penguins known as the St. Kilda Penguins. I went down to check them out, but they really come out at night. I still haven't done the tour yet. I did see one that was asleep in between the rocks. I tried to get a pictures but I you can't really tell. It's there though.
