I hope Obama will be better. We need strong leadership in this area on the federal level, but for a multitude of reasons I think that it will be the cities and states that can, and must, continue to lead the fight on global climate change. Just as President Clinton told the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Miami the other day, "even if we get the very best federal legislation, you're going to have to figure out how to do it."
We need to hurry. NASA's top scientist just testified before congress that we don't have any time left to wait. Here's the story.
