Hey y'all! My name is J.D. and I am currently a student at the Clinton School of Public Service. Like all Clinton School students this summer, I will embark on an International Public Service Project. I have the great opportunity to work with the Clinton Climate Initiative and C40 Cities in Melbourne, Australia.
This partnership entails a group of the world's largest cities committed to tackling climate change. Cities have a central role to play in tackling climate change, particularly as cities bear a disproportional responsibility for causing it. In fact, cities consume 75 per cent of the world's energy and produce 80 per cent of its greenhouse gas emissions. To learn more click this link: http://www.c40cities.org/.

This blog will serve to catalog my activities and inform readers of my experience this summer. I also plan to provide links and commentary on a variety of environmental and sustainability topics from all around world that affect us all.

Please stay tuned for the wild adventures of Flat Stanley Down Under. In an effort to bring the world to Arkansas' classrooms, First Lady of Arkansas Ginger Beebe has recruited each Clinton Student to bring a flat, paper friend along on our trips. Pictures and stories to follow, but you can read more about the project here: http://www.arkansasfirstlady.com/flatstanley/flatstanley_project_info.html.
