Aloha!

After 10 hours on the plane we finally made it to the island. Although it was a bit overcast this afternoon, it is still beautiful. I just happened to reach my hotel when the Pan Pacific Festival Parade was passing by and I was able to get a few pictures. After that I walked down to the beach and took look around the area before getting some Hawaiian barbecue for dinner.

Interesting development. I just realized tonight that on top of not having a place to live for the summer, I'm staying the night in Sydney before arriving in Melbourne. Apparently it is important to read one's itinerary thoroughly. It will be ok.
